ERP Sponsor Committee

The ERP Sponsor Committee is a high level executive committee that oversees the ERP implementation team. The ERP Sponsor Committee is  an extension of other strategic computing committees on campus.


The ERP Sponsor Committee serves as the top-level support and monitoring group for the ERP project. Members of the ERP Sponsor Committee include:

  • Dawn Rhodes- Interim Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Finance, Technology and Operations

  • Brian Bushong - Interim Associate Vice President for Finance and Planning

  • Robert Sheehan - Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs/Professor

  • James Sciarini - Associate Vice President for Human Resources

  • Joseph Sawasky - Interim Associate Vice President for Educational and Information Technology,

  • Lorinda Bishop - University Registrar

  • Anand Kunnathur - Professor of IMES/Associate Dean

The key responsibilities of the ERP Sponsor Committee are:

  • Decision Making Body for the Project

  • Define Scope

  • Uphold the Principle of a “Plain Vanilla” Installation

  • Advocate for the Project

  • Allocate and Develop Resources

  • Support the ERP Implementation Team

  • Celebrate Success

  • Remove Barriers to Success

  • Resolve Disputes

  • Evaluate Priorities

  • Review Goals and Progress

  • Support the Implementation and Training of the University End-user Community

The ERP Sponsor Committee meets once a month with a typical agenda that could include the following items:

  • Project Updates

  • Plan Versus Actual

  • Major Accomplishments or Impediments

  • Issues with Financial Implications

  • Issues with Campus Political Implications

  • Current Team Activities

The ERP Sponsor Committee is an extension of other strategic computing committees on campus. The University of Toledo strategic computing committees include those depicted in the following diagram.
