  • Meeting Proposed Deadlines and Goals

  • Increasing the Effectiveness of University Business Processes

  • Promoting User Functionality

  • Promoting User Understanding

  • Providing User Training

  • Involving Two Way Communication with Home Departments

Goal 1

Go live with ERP modules as designated in timeline.

Metrics:

  • Within budget

  • On project schedule

Goal 2

Identify and implement process reengineering for high value procedures before the testing phase.

Metrics:

  • Complete mapping of current business processes

  • Gain User approval during testing phase

  • Increase and maintain Customer satisfaction

  • Improve cycle time

Goal 3

Banner modules deliver efficient, user-friendly business functionality that meets user stated expectations while maintaining “plain vanilla” system. Plain vanilla is a system free from code changes and/or modification.

Metrics:

  • Validate functionality during testing.

  • Providing User survey 6 months after go live.

  • Decreasing number of shadow systems to Zero (Shadow systems are independent department run programs that track system information.)

  • Reduce bolt-ons by 50% at go live (Bolt-ons are independent programs that add functionality and exchange information with the core ERP system.)

  • Obtaining ad-hoc information by end users—Ease of query 6 and 12 months after go live.

  • Decrease Number of assistance requests at 6 and 12 months after go live.

Goal 4

Establish robust user training to insure sufficient knowledge at go live and beyond.

Metrics:

  • Increase Software and User Proficiency in testing

  • Train 100% of users with practice by go live

  • Utilize Power Users in training (Power users are active users with expertise within a particular area.)

Goal 5

Ensure integration compatibility and integration path for legacy systems, Human Resources, Student, and other future modules. Legacy systems are the existing administrative software systems.

Metrics:

  • Provide efficient integration programs with existing legacy systems.

  • Provide efficient integration programs with future ERP modules.
